What did the front engine mount set you back?
 

I'm not 100% sure, I would need to find the invoice. Maybe $130-140 at a guess? It was purchased direct from my local Toyota as I believe it might of been the same price Amayama. I didn't look into any aftermarket options to swap to a poly mount to compare costs.

When I did this job on my car, for undoing that fuel pressure pipe connection to the filter, I purchased a 14 mm flare nut type spanner, and used it in combination with a 19 mm open ended spanner to crack the connection, and it came off easily with no damage to the line.

Fuel economy review for 2019. I now have logged the last 4 years.

My 2019 average L/100km had reduced slightly to 8.80 L/100km from 8.97 L/100km in 2018.

My best economy for 2019 was 6.66 L/100km, worst economy was 10.30 L/100km.

Total travel distance travelled in 2019 was 13173.8km, reduction of 3215.3km from 2018.

Most expensive $ per L fill up was on 15/07/2019 at 1.849 which is up by $0.01 from my most expensive in 2018. Cheapest fill up was on 06/01/2019 at $1.289. The average cost of petrol for me was $1.558 which was a reduction of $0.003 from the 2018 average.

Tackled the fuel pump change last weekend with OEM goodies. Big shout out to Eric for sharing his knowledge, workshop and time. It was a great feeling being able to cross that job off the list. As Doug suggested the high pressure hose from the union near engine mount across to fuel filter was impossible to undo. Car is running well.
 

 

 

 

Ah good call, I'm very nervous about my fuel pump going, I'm not ready for another big job. Was it as painful as everyone says it is? I can imagine the hoist was a great help and glad to hear it's running great now.
