Thanks Redtarga

Lumix your fire extinguisher install looks good. I like the double holding clips, and they should hold it in any accident.

Many fire extinguishers come with just one clip, and some of them are only plastic.
Here is a couple of pics of my own install. The seat can be moved forward OK.
I used 3 mm steel for the mount.

Cheers Redtarga. It does the job well for me. I have a few improvements in mind to strengthen the stand off pieces and tweak the stand off distance from the seat. I had to hunt around for the double strap as most automotive majors only have the single. Your install very tidy, single piece and tight to the seat removing any stresses.

Extinguisher installs look good especially being bolt in with no drilling into the floor etc.

Someone should look to make a kit that includes the extinguisher and mount for those that cannot make it themselves?

Being easily reversible was important for me when installing it.

Your car was a blast to drive at Morgan Park, Joel. Thanks for letting me have a drive!

:D! Joys of going back to a stock NA with good tyres. I found my tyre wear was more even at Morgan Park than QR maybe due to more corner variation. How did you like the feeling through the wheel without power steering on the track?

There is. I bought and just received and fitted an extinguisher mount from MR2Heaven. In the order I included the fixing bolts and spacer for the MR2 seats

Only modification was to drill extra holes for my Quell fire extinguisher mount.

That's a nice mount set up by MR2Heaven. I like that they provide spacers from the factory seat rails and the 5mm thick bar to provide extra rigidity. Very clean install!

Fitting two holding clips:
I first installed my unit with only the one clip that came with it. (see first pic)
But I later decided to add the extra holding clip as an added precaution because the 2 kg fire extinguisher would have quite a bit of inertia in an accident situation. (I certainly didn't want it bouncing around the cabin in a roll over)
In case anyone is wondering where I got the second mounting clip, I have several of those same extinguishers located at different points around my house, and I robbed the mount from one of those that didn't need it because it simply sits on a shelf.

Nice improvisation Reddtarga. The Quell unit I bought for a couple of my cars (from Anaconda of all places) came with the double clip.

Update:
After attending the Macleans Bridge Show and Shine event with the club in May and being disappointed with the how the rear end presented compared to the rest of the car. I decided to get some cosmetic touch ups.

I sourced genuine 'Super Red' Toyota and MR2 emblems/ornaments from Japan. I wasn't able to track down a new Toyota logo boot emblem...discontinued.

Extremely happy with the results in my eyes it has improved the car tenfold.

Looks great Joel, I admire that you continue to find new ways to present/detail your car. Have you considered some tasteful number plate covers to try finish them better?

Thanks Kris. Tbh I have never thought about putting number plate covers on, I will look into what is available. Might add that finished touch.

IMO for that finished touch plate covers look much better than none at all.
The ones that I like are the 'Kingpin' brand.
I also have the compact Vic number plates, makes them less obtrusive.
Originally I had the full sized ones, but they still looked great with 'Kingpin' covers

Thanks for the photos, Reddtarga! Very tidy. I will keep an eye out when I'm next out to one of the auto stores.
