Could you be persuaded into making a couple 5SGTE eng code stickers? I might have a sample 3s one buried away.
Funnel is awesome I'd like to diy one.

Shoot me a message with a pic of the 3S one and I will see what I can do for you. Could get it printed at the same time as the AW11 service stickers.

Pulled the injectors and got them serviced and cleaned, all looked good - two of the four had a tiny variation. Changed the water temp sensor, ordered some poly gear shifter bushes to try instead of the spherical bushes.

I cleaned it up yesterday (Friday) and took it down to the industrial estate today for some quick photos before it got too dark.

Did you get to the bottom of the running issue?

Cheers bud! A quick clay, hand polish and wax. I would love to get my hands on a RO Polisher and see what results I can get.

Possibly.

I cleaned throttle body, ISCV, changed the water temp sensor and got the injectors cleaned but the first start was still stumbling after sitting for a 6-8 hours. Did a error code test got error 41 (Diagnosis: throttle position sensor) Checked the throttle body position sensor and it was slightly out of spec to the manual, made some adjustments. Still no good on first start.

Could be totally unrelated...

Rewind back to last week. Car alarm randomly started going off after 30-60sec of being locked making me jump out of my skin. The first two times I thought it was by accident, buttons getting pushed in my pocket but than it happened twice in a day. I checked the connections in the engine bay, latch etc thought maybe the system was thinking the lid was being opened when the car was locked. I also unplugged the speaker in the engine bay to get rid of the sound in case it went off again. Well the alarm hasn't gone off and no joke it has started perfectly for the last 7 days, morning and night. I plugged the speaker back in today going to see if the first start issue resurfaces tomorrow.

Edit: Maybe the cooler weather playing a part?

Cleaned up and refreshed my gear shifter assembly today with all new Toyota parts. Zero play in the assembly and feels very smooth. Swapped the solid delrin shifter plate bushes and went back to genuine Toyota.

Well done. Can't beat genuine. Gives a really nice precise feel and not harsh either.
Your whole car always looks great. Good to see you keeping on top of the small maintenance items as the car gets older too.

Thank you, Doug! Been two days since the refresh of the gear shifter and it feels smooth and precise. Hopefully this weekend I can find some time do the clutch fluid.

I got a whole bunch of genuine parts sitting here. I would like to learn how to rebuild calipers, picked up genuine kits for front and rear, got new handbrake cables plus some stainless steel brake lines to go in for a track day perhaps ;)

Awesome work yet again, always impressed! I'd love to mimic the small repair jobs you do as I imagine they make a world of difference on the road, just not sure if I have the patience or time to do it haha

I'll have to get you to talk me through some of it next meet, keen to learn~
