There was a discussion late last year about average fuel economy and numbers were thrown around with what was acceptable. This got me curious with how my 3SGE was performing. I was planning to record the first few fill ups but it started to become a habit over the cause of the year. I missed a handful, maybe 5 fill ups.

Mostly subarban driving. I would be curious to see how it performs with straight motorway cruising for a tank.
Fun fact: Some of my best fuel economy results were actually achieved on MR2 club runs.

Also made up a few more cup holders with different coloured straps. I'm absolutely loving this sea green colour at the moment. SO FRESH.

Still tinkering on this thing.

I impulse bought some delrin shifter plate bushings (eBay) a few weeks back and installed them. I didn't notice much, if any improvement as my original bushings still looked and felt okay.

Coolant drain, flush and refill started off on a good note. Middle of day turned sour trying to bleed it. Day ended on a great note. Ben, the champion, dropped around that night and helped me bleed the system. Introduced me to the spill-free funnel... changed my life.

QLD Club President giving the funnel the thumps up. I heard you have something to do with this, Carmikey?

I have also been tinkering on reproducing more stickers in my spare time.

AW11 4A-GZE engine bay service sticker - Only a test print so far but really happy with how it turned out but still needs some tweaking.

Designed up a AW11 retro 80's shirt while I was in the groove listening to Synthwave. Absolutely love how it turned out. I wear it when ever I get the opportunity... the club thinks I only own one shirt.

Those things are game changers. I saw Paul Brell use one at Wakefield.

Is that a bought one or a home made jobbie? The only ones I can find for sale on ebayze are in 'Merica and they cost a fortune. I'm going to try and make my own.

That was a bought one, I believe you can get them from Bursons ($100+), I found some on Amazon around the $30USD mark. I will most likely be buying one soon - made the job 10x easier.

I tried a home made one, built from a empty demineralised water container and plumbing fittings fixed into the lid with silicone. I had to hold and apply constant downward pressure so it wouldn't leak. It worked a treat. HOWEVER, the plastic of the lid was too thin and started to get soft when the car warmed up...narrowly avoided getting coolant all over the place.

Could you be persuaded into making a couple 5SGTE eng code stickers? I might have a sample 3s one buried away.

Funnel is awesome I'd like to diy one.
