The Kuhmos are a good choice. I was talking with Paul the Kuhmo race tyre distributor(fsport) over the weekend. He has 245/35/17 for $300 each. The front are a similar price, so you can have a new set of nice tyres for about $1200.
If you need some help in prep, drop a line and I will help out if I can. Im sure my trusty assistant Suruk will be there too!
I may come down for a drive that day too

1.15.2 at wakefield today. on bald economy tyres.. reallly should have changed those.

1.17 was on the same grade tyre but had more tread and that was with a four banger. 2 second improvement with the v6. im relatively happy. im aiming for under 1.10 with exactly the same set up and better tyres.

slipping all over the place today. i think i need some bigger wheels too. 160kmph powersliding!!

Under 1.10 is a very quick time vinny. Might be a bit optimistic without any other upgrades. B24 is doing 1.08's and his car is mental. But of course I'd be happy to see you prove me wrong!

well the race specialist tehre has a stock standard turbo mr2 with some good tyres (not even slicks) and he said he can get 1.05 and averages about 1.07/08.

i know 1.10 is a bit optimistic but some good tyres should knock off a least 2 seconds and i know three areas on the track i can improve upon. the first kink and corner. the left hander before the top box and the back straight.

if i get all of those right i should be loosing about 1 second on the first corner. 2 seconds on the second section and about 1.5 seconds on the third section.
