MR2 magazine articles
While tidying up some stuff recently I came across a pile of old car magazines, and flipping through found a few MR2 related articles. These needed to be shared so I've scanned them and put them in my gallery for everyone's enjoyment: MR2 Magazine Articles They're hosted on my home server so I apologise if the d/l speed is a bit average. There's a function on the gallery where you can download multiple files in a ZIP, if you use this be sure to select "Original" in the "Select media size:" dropdown, then you'll get a ZIP full of the 300dpi scans. Also when viewing the scans in the gallery, you can toggle original/reduced size. If the text is hard to read at reduced size just toggle them up, the button is in the toolbar right above the picture. Enjoy!

Thanks for the effort of scanning all those articles. I was surprised by how well regarded the X1-9 was compared to the AW11.

Thanks for the scan and upload Cogs. Flighter I was surprised by how well regarded the X1-9 was compared to the AW11. I too was surprised, I thought the X1-9 had all the niggles and no redeeming qualities. The article makes me want to go and drive one, although it sounds like I'll also need to hack at it a bit to fit in comfortably.
Go soothingly on the grease mud as there lurks a skid demon.

Hey Cogs, Santa brought me "Modern Motor - March 1990" for Christmas. I'll post up the article soon. Photobucket is not being nice to me. Cheers Col

Nice one, Cogs. Always like reading some period reviews, those Brookland Books are always good for some of this stuff, but usually don't have a great deal of Australian reviews.

Thanks cogs, awesome!! I recall some of those articles. Also there were a few others I recall, like Wheels JDM Gen3 test, and ABS tests where the MR2 performed very poorly for some reason. I will dig through my pile of mags and see if anything is there, but I think I gave them all away a while back :( Cheers

What's the deal with the blurred out text on p3 or the modern motor jan 90 page? Car Australia were a lot more kinder to the car in 94 than Car UK was with the initial 1990 release. Get the impression the writers had a grumpy day that day, and made the cover 'How Toyota Spoilt the New MR2' headline, still interesting reading though.
