yeah i start misfiring about 2 to 3 mins after i cold start d car and just dies (so im gonna try advance ignition lil bit) but then idles fine once its fully warmed up. and with poor economy i know im running pig rich as my CO levels are thru d roof (during high idle and cruising speeds) thats why i want to lean out a bit on fuel to match d airflow going in. WOT on d other hand is different story(dunno if its just my imagination but i think/noticed that i get more economy when im always booting it) the previous owner run biger turbo, injectors and fuel pump, exhaust ,intake d works but blew d motor. he replaced d motor but then stuffed his clutch. he mustve given up and sold d duece and r33 skyline but kept the wrx. i bought d duece dirt cheap plus d old motor he blew up( he thought he did) aniway thats another story. d car started running really rough. and noticed big improvements as VE improved. intake, exhaust, IC and more boost due to it matching d tune more on microtech compared to stock set up i had at d start. but yep its still noticeably running rich. i do intend to take it to a dyno once my pocket permits it, but atm i dont mind getting a hand controller and mess round with idle, cruising even if i could just do an overall 1-2% fuel mix trim and work from there. yes im chasing a wideband asap before i start messing with it. done a lot of reading and still am. im just after d tools needed now :) cheers

yeh, for sure the first thing you NEED is a wideband and a controller. Otherwise you obviously cantdo anything. It sounds way out of tune. You are best to start from scratch to tune it, start by tuning warm idle. Then crusing and low load accelleration. Then move onto the heavier stuff. Then after the car is cold you can tune the start up idle. What many people dont understand about tuning car is that its not a 2 hour/3 hour job that a tuning company will charge you. You will always notice small areas of your map which your not happy with and you can alter to improve. A power tune means nothing, its the whole band which is important (goes without saying)

yeah I wouldn't be self tuning it unless you were using a wideband. (that's now what I'm looking at buying.) What map sensor did you use nuk1ear?

The MT-8 has a built in map ssr. I used an LC-1 wideband with the EMS powered digital gauge.

map ssr (sorry, i work at toyota and am used to their abbreviations lol) map sensor i mean. When u say map server i think u mean map sensor and yeh it does, you dont need to use the stock one anymore, it wont do anything. You can leave it or remove it.

Nuclear, I hope you don't mind but I'm going to piggyback this thread. After 10months sitting in my spare room, I've decided to make an EOI on this setup. I've also got a plug and play adaptor I bought for $40, if you have interest in this setup - please PM me. I'm looking to recoup what I paid. I also have 3/4 of a loom which will help too. I also have the 550cc injector rail setup that Nuclear had, that I purchased at the same time. BY THE WAY I'm happy to answer questions on this, please direct them to me. Haydon.
