2gr-fe info

hey mods, hoping that this could be made a sticky, mainly to help people for future references,

ill start by contributing this link
it has pretty much all the wiring diagram info for the 2gr
as soon as i start my build i will also try to add a walk through sort of thing in regards to doing such a swap

http://www.scribd.com/doc/28959346/2GR-FE-Engine-Control-System

cut and paste link into web browser

also a link to a pretty well documented swap

list of things needed from the wreckers/ donor car

- 2GRFE engine
- ECU
- Immobilizer computer (hides between the A/C and the firewall in the Avalon. requires full dash disassembly to get to)
- Immobilizer antenna. This just snaps onto the key cylinder and has a half dozen wires or so going to it
- OBDII connector. (Located at the driver's knees)
- Engine harness, this includes connector A, B & C to the ECU. no need for any of the fuse boxes.
- wiring harness pigtails for ECU connector D & E, the immobilizer pigtail & the immobilizer antenna pigtail
- THE IMMOBILIZER KEY. (this can be worked around but it takes a very cooperative dealer and it still is quite the pain in the rear)

Just note that there are several differences between the Aurion ecu and ecu's from US vehicles. There is also a significant immobilizer system on the aurion that needs to be retained.

You'll need pretty much the whole ignition assembly and key. If you want to run the stock ecu.
