(NSW) Kouki / gen3 taillight set assembled with CLEAR smoked indicator AMBER DELETE!

Hi,

I recently purchased this set of ToyotaHeritage / wolfie308 clear smoked indicator lenses for my MR2, but when I fitted them to my spare set of Kouki taillights I found they are a little too dark for my taste. They still allow lots of light through from the indicator bulb, so shouldnt have much legal hassles (not a guarantee), but I just think I'd prefer the fully clear version, but I'd like to sell these to finance that first. They are flawlessly made replicas of the original orange lenses.

If the smoked look is to your taste, and you want to avoid the hassle of un-glueing and installing your own lenses available from ToyotaHeritage / wolfie308, drop me a message, email or PM today! :)

The left taillight black plastic frame has a small crack near the corner, behind where the triangle piece goes, in between the two mounting screws.  Being so near the mounting screw which still pulls the assembly into line correctly with the car, the crack tends to stay closed. Doesn't affect looks operation or watertightness at all.

I just polished the red lenses and they came up great with a deep shine :) They do look pretty badass and unique, just I'm very picky and want a lighter shade.

Pricing:

The complete 4 piece set of bare lenses from ToyotaHeritage costs $280 plus post, and a full set of Kouki's generally go from $350 to $450 depending on condition.

Price for complete conversion kit (if you have gen 1 / zenki tails) -
As such these are up for sale as a set consisting of:
- Pair of taillight clusters with smoked clear indicator lenses installed
- Pair of corner triangles with smoked clear lenses installed, and I added 3x red LED SMD side markers inside (see last photo), wired with a Futaba J-type male plug, just need to splice into parking light wires (female Futaba J-type plug / pigtail not included, commonly available on ebay etc)
- Centre panel with pair of reverse lights installed, orange colour
- Pair of L brackets to mount them
- Pair of wiring harnesses with bulbs
I'm offering this complete setup for $500 total, postage included within Australia. Pretty cheap considering they've been installed as well, and bonus marker LED's in the corners! This is a complete conversion set, noting that the usual caveats apply as for all gen3 taillight conversions; gen 1 boot lock barrel is too short, rear panel must be "clearanced" with a hammer slightly to make the reverse lights fit.

Price for swapping existing gen 3 / kouki tails -
If someone wants to swap their existing amber lens Kouki / gen 3 lights, I can do this with $280 cash my way (posted within Australia) - which is less than the posted purchase price of the lenses only. In this deal you spend less (since you already have a set of Kouki's anyway) and get the assembly for free! This covers my costs for the replacement completely clear lenses I want to buy, and as such the price is not negotiable.

NB: I've observed no water leaks following installation but this is also not guaranteed.

PPS: Most of the photos are shown with USDM red corner triangles. These are not included, only the matching smoked clear ones (in the last photo), unless you really want, but the price remains the same.
