2015 MR2 NATIONALS QUEENSLAND - UPDATE - EVENTS PROGRAM

2015 MR2 NATIONALS QUEENSLAND - UPDATE - EVENTS PROGRAM

With the 2015 MR2 Nationals in Queensland only 13 sleeps away the Committee felt it was time to give everyone who is coming or still undecided the opportunity to review the summary of the events that are going to happen over the three days, 6th, 7th and 8th of June.

Every MR2 driver who has registered will receive a very nice "Presentation Pack" with some exclusive Toyota-provided goodies, plus an "Information Folder" containing fully detailed itineraries and maps of where we will be going, what we will be doing each day, and who will be responsible for leading the activity.

The following Nationals summary is therefore just that, a summary, so timings, Run routes and mobile phone numbers have been left off in the interests of privacy. However, if any registered entrant would like to get the contact details in advance for the people shown as being Activity Leaders, then please PM me and it will be provided.

Over 40 cars are now locked into the various events, and this level of organisation is necessary to ensure everyone has a great time. We are still getting people sending in their entry forms, so if you are still trying to decide whether to come or not time is rapidly running out. The Queensland Club members are all looking forward to seeing our interstate cousins and their great cars. A fun time awaits.

    Shaz,

we did have some planned but when offered most people said they were either heading straight back down south or were planning their own.

If you are staying around for a few days we can certainly organise to show you some of the "other" best roads in SE Queensland, especially around the Scenic Rim area. Let me know.

Got accom booked until Thursday morning so extra driving or touristy things would be great. Simon has been telling me about all the great drives he found up there.

Altho if no one else is available I'm sure a relaxing couple of days would do me good as well.

Can't wait - it's great to see the treasure-trove of fun you have planned.  We'll bring along our convoy from VIC and pick up the Canberrans and NSWelshers on the way through :)

Great job and see you in eight sleeps!

    Shaz,

further to your previous question about other runs after the Nationals is over, we have done some talking and if you (and anyone else) would like, we will take you on a day run on Wednesday the 13th of June down through the back blocks of the Gold Coast, into and over the top end mountain ranges in NSW, and then come back to Brisvegas via the very scenic and very twisty Numinbah Valley. This is about 300 km (we don't do short Runs in our Club) and is a favourite run or ours and many others. I know Dodgee is off for the day plus there may be others.

Let me know if you would like to do this,

    Walter
