Aeroware Style SW20 Front Lips For Sale: Sydney

Hi All
I have brought in some AEROWARE Style Polyurethane SW20 front lips. These are completely bendable and have the hardware to replace your front lip either early Gen2 or later Gen 3. (Fit 1989 to 1998 SW20)
Cost: $280 pick up Sydney (Hills or Upper Northshore) Can post for extra.
Update: 1 sold 4 left
Can be painted but come in black.
These are designed and made to keep their shape while being flexible enough to bend but not crack.
These have been selling like 'hot cakes" in the USA for over 12 months. I have not seen any negative feed back on the MR2 forum they are sold through.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
David

Well I am so surprised that these are not all sold. So many sw20 owners  and comments on the forum have wanted this style of front lip. The guy I got these off in US buys 20 at a time and they are all sold before he gets them. He sells to other parts of the world too.
If you have any questions or comment please PM me I would like some feed back. Thanks

Listing who actually makes them might help.

In case anyone is wondering, it was me who bought one of these lips already.

I did have a replica Aeroware fibreglass front lip (from Shine Auto Project) on my car for about 3 years, but I cracked it badly last month. Coincidentally, these polyurethane lips came up for sale just at the right time, so I decided to try one. I don't know who makes them, but these polyurethane lips are also Aeroware replicas.

The shape is almost identical to my Shine Auto Project fibreglass lip, with the only difference being that the underside is square instead of rounded (maybe for structural reasons). The overall dimensions are the same, so the difference isn't noticeable when viewed from above at normal eye level. In fact, I didn't even spot the difference in the photos.

I did a trial-fitment of the polyurethane lip last week and it was good with no modifications required. Even if the lip was a bit warped (which mine wasn't), I still could have fixed it by applying some heat to it.

The mounting holes are already there in the lip, so you don't have to drill them yourself.
The lip comes with a set of new bolts, nuts and washers for all of the mounting holes.

Although the material is quite different to an OEM bumper, the lip is still extremely flexible, as advertised.

Mine is currently being painted and I hope to get it back tomorrow.
I'll post some photos after I fit the painted lip to my car, hopefully this weekend.

I hope this feedback is helpful!

Thats a great review Rob. If these are as great as they sound and being that they are almost half the price of the Shine Auto lip...I will certainly be jumping on board if my current one ends up cracking.

Thanks Robk for your very helpful comments. I purchased these in bulk from a guy in LA who sells these and other MR2 accessories through a MR2 forum in the US.I have been following this forum and his sales for over a year and he sells these faster than he can get them. They come from Topgearautoparts California they are a Aeroware/Shine replica very strong but flexible and won't crack. In the 12-18 months he has been selling these I have not seen a negative comment only positive and lots of thanks.
    I now have 2 left!

It's worth mentioning that the Aeroware replica front lips from Shine Auto Project are made of a high quality fibreglass (combined with a proprietary mix of other materials), which is quite thin and more flexible than low-quality fibreglass products which are too thick and don't allow any flex at all.
For this reason, the Shine products are still awesome. When I broke mine, it was was an epic fail on my behalf which probably would have caused significant damage regardless of the material.
If anyone asked me whether I rate Shine products, I would still say yes for sure.
Of course I also recommened the polyurethane lips in this thread!

I installed the new polyurethane Aeroware lip last night. Here are some photos:

BTW, when I picked up the lip from the painter, it had been warped by the heat that they applied to cure the paint.
They said to leave it in the sun for a day and it would fix itself. Luckily they were right...it was totally fine after a hot day in the sun.

Hey Robk that looks awesome. That is the site ...that is USD ..would have been nice if AUD plus postage is so expensive from the US. A hair dryer will do the same to reshape it. Just watch the curbs and stop blocks. lol.

I have only one let now.

This is a massive long shot but do you still have one of these lips left to sell?
