The MR2 Wheel Fitment/Brand Pics Thread
I noticed there are a few people looking at buying wheels at the moment and thought I could start a fit a thread showing pics of wheels that i've owned with the offsets listed below them in hope it will help someone down the track. Nissan Skyline GTR Wheels on Rear 8" wide Offset +30 Nissan Skyline GTS-T Wheels on Front 6.5" Wide Offset - Will have to confirm but I believe they were +40

ergh, putting parts from the dirty 'N' word on our cars... Jeebus, this is an exception to the rule, the best thing the dirty N word company has ever made... But Datto's were pretty cool (obviously before dirty N word took over)

^^LOL I'll agree that the Silvia is a dirty ****'s car but the Skylines...I have respect for Dasic1 you've got an awesome looking ride, that grey/silver paintjob really makes that one unique. IMO it's hard to find good csometics/body kits for the MR2 and I prefer stock look anyways. Also those gold rims = win (on MR2's in general too i reckon) EA99 those tyres are Kumho ASX 225/50/16 at the back and Goodyear 205/45/16 at the front. I know cos they're mine now hehehe

Why are you guys changing wheel diameters? Doesn't it upset the handling? They did spend millions on the setup research for the car after all....

Speaking for myself here only: Purely a cosmetic thing, my car isn't quick around corners or in a straight line at that. My factory 14s did not do do any justice to the lines of the SW20

17's look good. I still have my 15's, but haven't used them. Should really put some sticky tyres on them and use them a bit.

Probably mainly for looks but also there is a much larger choice of modern performance tyres for the larger diam wheels. But being lower profile, they do ride harder. Btw, the special 14 and 15 inch Yokahama tyres they originally designed the car to use, have not been available for years.
