Club Run to Heathcote - 25th March 2012

Hi MR2 Owners,
For our end of March run (Sunday 25th March) we are going to Heathcote Park Dragway. Heathcote Park is a comfortable 1 hour 25 mins north of the Ring Road. The event they are holding is a "Test and Tune". It's a day for the public to test out how good their cars are on a drag strip. It should be interesting to see what sort of everyday cars come out of the woodwork for this event.
Entry is $20 per spectator (I assume this is most of us). $60 per car/driver to compete. More details are available at: http://heathcoteraceway.com.au/test_tune.shtml
Once we've had a good look around at the various street cars we will head back to the historic Tooborac Hotel and Brewery for lunch. This old pub is a popular lunch spot for car clubs and day trippers so we will be looking to book ahead. For details on the pub visit http://www.tooborachotel.com.au.
We are looking to leave the northern suburbs around 9am Sunday 25th March.  Email events@mr2club.com.au for details on where to meet.
It should be an interesting day out and about.  All are welcome, including non members.  Great opportunty for you to meet some of the club members and there will still be time to join the club and be in the running for the $500 tyre voucher (being drawn early April)
If you think you would like to join for the day please email us at events@mr2club.com.au so that we can make an initial booking for lunch.
Final RVSP by Friday 16th March 2012
Cheers

I'd be happy to grab some snaps for anyone going down the 1/4 mile
I went a couple of times to Heathcote and can say it was an awesome place to do a 1/4 run.

I will double check the date and get back to you by the rsvp definitely.

I'll be going - leading in fact.  Just heading down to spectate; I've never been to the drags before so we'll see how it goes!  Looking forward to supporting the Toyota Club participants - we'll have a few shared events coming up in future.

Yeah shield still there. Been doing it since the haltech went in so it's likely a sensor or ignition signal thing rather than the plugs or ht lead.
