thank ya's! :)
its still nice and clean, but whats left of the original paint is getting tattier and tattier! needs another front end touchup bad.. as i still havent done anything about the bent reo and busted indicator from a few weeks back! (can still see it in the pics!)
and i hit a 4ft witches hat in it last night at 60km/h... not braking. <_< . stupid kids had put it in the middle of a busy road, and i wasn't paying enough attention. :( they dont cause any damage because they're so soft, but slap hard, and the large square black base is very hard, and cracked up the paint on the lip. aargh..
then it got jammed under the car. <_<
don't reaaaaally care because i still need to do the front end anyway, but it just looks a bit sadder in the mean time. :(
on a POSITIVE note..
i picked up the supercharger kit yesterday! it had only arrived in the country two days ago or so! :)
it turned up with all the bits from the ad..

main chunk, when i excitedly pulled it out of the box...

sweeeet...

had a good look over it, and am very happy. it doesn't seem to be too bad at all! figured the best way to approach it is to strip it down, so i can sort out the parts in groups. the supercharger alone to get checked out, all the cast and steel parts to be blasted and powdercoated, all the alloy parts to be cleaned inside and out. broke it right down into pieces so it can really be cleaned properly. :)
The supercharger: (with snout.. i cant see the point in pulling that off..?)

i dont really know what to look for, but looks to have tight enough tolerances between the lobes to compress some air! no chunks missing either, and turns smoothly, which is a good start aswell. :)
Steel parts:

these are awesome. other than the dirt and surface rust, they're totally fine. will look top notch after a new coat of paint/powedercoat. the bracket on the right is actually just couple mm steel that looks to have been zinc plated, but ill get it refinished the same as the others.
only part there that doesnt really belong is the puller/tensioner thing. it actually still spins, but is very crusty on the outside. could be cleaned up, but ill try and find a replacement first.
other than that.. its awesome they say HKS and AW11 on them. :P
Cast parts:

cant see why these wont clean up great. :)
gotta sort out exactly what to do, but some sort of acidic bath would do the trick. they're full of carbony build up on the inside walls... as usual i guess.
sweet HKS computer and wiring:

dunno if this is going to work or not, but worst case i imagine this setup could run off any other aftermarket computer anyway...
sweet free cooler piping...:

yar.. this setup looks to have run a cooler in the past. i cant see why you cant just run it with a crossover (like a VL) to exclude this, but id run a cooler i reckon. goes from the short bent runner (bottom left on the cast parts pic) on the back of the supercharger, to cooler, and back into the long log style that's higher up, straight onto the side of the head.
and a pic of all the bots, screws, and plugs i bagged up by major part. :)
as you can probably tell by the flash-spec pics, it got late by the time id carefully dissasembled it. so token snap of lil red in the dark at the time..

overall, im happy it came apart so easily. I'm much more confident now that it can go back to new.. which will be awesome. just got to sort out where to take the different parts! :)
