mmm.., did some looking into the fuel pump thing last night. Seems it's delivering fuel ok for the moment, but as the pump wears out i'm betting there's not much safety margin in it. the fuel regulator has a pressure guage on it that we were checking while it was on the dyno, i can't see it from the cabin unfortunately so i can't monitor it... i also can't remember if it's running at 40 or 60psi... i'll have a look tonight when it's idling. hopefully it's running low pressure and larger injector opening times... this would allow more fuel control and the fuel pump flows more on lower pressures...

OK, so i was mucking round with the haltech software on my laptop last night. I have a theory about my boost settings and i'm going to have to plug into my computer and download the tune info to find out if i'm right...... last time we did that it completely wiped my tune from the haltech's memory so i'm a little nervous.....

i think my boost controller's duty cycle is too conservative, i think if it was made a bit more aggressive i might get boost a little sooner, cause it's pretty slow coming on... i think this may have been what my mechanic was talking about when he said he'd made it a bit soft in the low/mid...has anyone played with this? does anyone have an opinion about when a 3076 should be making boost with a .82 or .63 A/R housing?

check out dylmrt's showroom thread, he has a GT3076R. I'd say you would expect peak boost around 4,250. in regards to Haltech, why dont you save the current tune and then saveas a new file and fool around with the settings?

There's my dyno with boost graph. I have the twin scroll gt3076r which is a 0.76 housing size, but should still give a good indication of how it should spool up.

Pity that graph is in kph rather than rpm.

anyone know the ratios in 4th gear to work it out approximately?

IRRC 100km/h is about 3k rpm in 4th... i can never quite remember.

just realise someone has the same combination as me.... SW20 + 600RR...

Thats because they are both fun weapons in their own right!
I shall soon be joining the CBR600 team, up from CBR250

anyway...
I have roughly calculated for my Gen2 turbo in 4th gear that:
70 km/h = 2250 RPM
90 km/h = 3000 RPM

dunno if gen3 is any different? also wheels and tyres can affect this.

the gen3 came with different ratios to the gen2. When I get my car back i'll have to test it out again.

Nice chart!!  Dont forget the dyno would be actual KM/h (not speedo) so when checking use a GPS for better accuracy.
